Project description
Recent advancements in tribological research prioritizes on tribo-corrosion, proximity to real application and advanced monitoring techniques. This has led to the replacement of classical tribometers by advanced tribotesters which can produce multiple wear mechanisms simultaneously. The proposed tribotester “UTM tribolab” is modular with separate modules for tribo-corrosion, brake, lubrication and coating wear testing.
