Project description

Confocal laser scanning microscopy is a widespread technique in the life sciences to record high-quality images of biological specimen. Laser illumination is used to excite fluorescent markers in biological samples. In this project budget is requested to replace the laser illumination system of a heavily used confocal microscope, as it is getting near the end of its lifetime.
