Project description

The mastery of a symbolic number system is indispensable when solving arithmetic problems. In this project, we first design a model of how the brain processes symbolic numerical information. We then assess whether this basic model holds in a situation where participants perform arithmetical tasks. Finally, the characteristics of the model will be compared for typical versus atypical arithmetic processing.
