Project description

By combining two dominant motivational frameworks in the sport literature (i.e., Achievement Goal Approach and Self-Determination Theory) the doctoral project seeks to provide more refined insights in the motivational functioning of athletes. Further, as the motivating impact of youth coaches is mostly described as a rather static characteristic, the project extents this by adopting a more dynamic perspective on coaching.
