The overall objective of the project is the lab scale evaluation and optimization of (combinations of) different existing ones techniques for the removal of PFAS from industrial wastewater, including cost / benefit analysis and scalability. In addition, the project wants to gain insight into the behavior of PFAS in industrial (biological) water treatment plants, more determines how the management of the biology influences PFAS removal by binding to the activated sludge.
