Project description

The research described in the proposal aims at determining how viruses are able to manipulate mucosal antigen-presenting cells (m-APC), with special emphasis on dendritic cells, to promote virus spread and/or disturb the antiviral immune response. Elucidating of the underlying mechanisms will allow the design of novel and more specific antiviral strategies.
