Project description

Oral mucositis is a frequent pathology that occurs with many cancer patients that receive irradiation or chemotherapeutic therapy. The condition causes secundary infections and lowers the chance for curing cancer. In this research, the importance of the oral microbiota in the development and prevention and therapy of oral mucositis is investigated.
