Project description

In the Radiation Physics research group of the UGent Centre for X-ray Tomography (UGCT), the methodology of very high resolution X-ray tomography (micro-tomography) is continuously being improved, covering the complete imaging chain: CT scanner development, simulation of the imaging chain, the study of novel imaging techniques, development of tomographic reconstruction methods (including iterative reconstruction techniques and GPU-based code) and 3D/4D image analysis methods. The developed state-of-the-art methodologies are being applied in many scientific collaborations with the many users of the UGCT Core Facility that use micro-tomography as a tool in their respective research areas.
