This research project explores the political, industrial, and socio-cultural dynamics surrounding diasporic cinema in Flanders (2002-22). By critically analyzing the discourses of policy actors (VAF), industry stakeholders, and diasporic filmmakers, this research offers important theoretical and empirical contributions to the field of media- and migration studies, as well as to public debates on migration, multiculturalism, cultural diversity, and inclusion.
