Project description
NF-kB is a transcriptionfactor which plays a central role in inflammation. The A20 protein is an inhibitor of NF-kB through a negative-feedback loop. Furthermore, FADD, which is usually studied for its role in celldeath signalisation, is also known to excert some NF-kB inhibiting properties. By using tissue-specific knock-out mice for A20 and FADD, their role in neurodegeneration will be studied.
