Project description

The coactivator PPARGC1A has a strong influence on fat metabolism, and hence also on meat quality. In the pig however, only little information is available on this economically interesting gene. Therefore, this project will study its gene expression more closely and perform a functional analysis to determine the influence of mutations on PPARGC1A.
