Project description
The aim of this research is to quantify antimicrobial use (AMU) and resistance (AMR) in commercial poultry production in Bangladesh. It explores the association between AMU and biosecurity, as well as AMU and AMR. Additionally, a risk-based weighted scoring system (Biocheck.UGent) is being developed to assess the biosecurity levels in backyard poultry households in low- and middle-income countries.
