My research concerns the Chunqiu fanlu, an important political treatise of Chinese tradition ascribed to Dong Zhongshu, a pivotal Cunfucian scholar from the Han dynasty. It analyses the statecraft theory in the syncretic chapters of the text (ch. 18-23), taking into account the historical context in which it emerged.
