Project description

The objective of BiFAST is twofold: 1. Realize a commercially viable, technical proof-of-concept enabling serial data transmission at 112Gbps over a real-life electrical data carrier giving the exposure needed to start a strategic partnership or attract venture capital. This technical proof-of-concept will comprise a chipset implementing duobinary signaling. 2. Further clarify market needs while identifying possible market entry strategies and promising partners (e.g. manufacturers of high speed data links / daughterboards). The ultimate goal is to establish a spin-off company, and become a lead supplier of high speed transceiver chips and associated integration services.
