Physical activity (PA) has a positive impact on the quality of life for individuals with cancer, before, during, and after their treatment trajectory. Adequate levels of PA can reduce the occurrence or severity of certain side effects, improve treatment tolerance, and positively impact survival. Despite the overwhelming evidence, most patients remain inactive, and the recommendation to incorporate exercise as standard care is not adequately translated into practice. Three projects by (1) Ghent University/Ghent University Hospital, (2) Artevelde University of Applied Sciences, and (3) OLV Aalst developed various intervention tools to address the known barriers in the implementation translation gap. In this project, we aim to align these previously developed tools, create an implementation plan, and set up an initial pilot implementation in Flanders. With this valorization project, we aim to take the next step in making the tools accessible and usable for the user groups. Too often, scientifically developed tools remain unused because the final step is not carried out for various reasons.
