This PhD project focuses on developing strategies aligned with the EU's Circular Economy Framework, specifically through the establishment of biorefineries that transform waste materials like grass and seaweed into valuable products. The research aims to utilize these waste streams to produce bioenergy, lactic acid, bio-based fertilizers, and biostimulants for agricultural use, promoting sustainability and resource efficiency.
