This project is intended to define the conditions in which β-alanine feed supplements promote the production efficiency of pigs and chickens, including the dosage and the composition of the diet. In addition, it is checked which β-alanine alternatives are suitable as animal feed additive, and are being developed for this purpose cost-effective synthetic routes.
