The project MARS IAP P7/29 (Study of Maize-Arabidopsis-Root-Shoot growth) aims to exploit the multidisciplinarity of the IAP network to investigate a complex but poorly studied area in plant biology, namely the interactions between the above-ground and below-ground parts of the plant. Such interactions are known to be essential for normal growth and for adequate response to changing conditions in the environment.
