Project description
Response inhibition (the ability to suppress inappropriate actions) is critical in everyday life. Its derailment underlies many psychopathological disorders and behavioral problems. Here I propose an innovative ‘eco-devo’ approach to determine why/how differences in inhibitory-control (dis)abilities arise. This work will transform our understanding of the multiple determinants of inhibitory control and their complex interactions across time and space.
