Electrically pumped frequency comb sources have a spectrum that consists out of a large number of equally spaced laser lines. The goal of the project is to integrate such sources on a silicon chip. We will make use of micro-scale electrically pumped mode-locked laser on silicon. These licgtsources will be useful in a number of applications such as for spectroscopy.
