Project description

Pigs can become infected with Chlamydia psittaci, Chlamydia pecorum, Chlamydia abortus and Chlamydia suis. These bacteria cause a variety of clinical diseases in pigs. For instance reproductive failure. Chlamydia infections cause important economical loss in the pig industry. The project is on the development of new diagnostics and innovative preventive measures against Chlamydia suis infection in pigs.
