Project description

The goal of KlimOp is to improve greenhouse climate control by characterizing the greenhouse using AI techniques applied to climate data and validated with plant measurements. This helps the individual grower to detect climate irregularities, answer decision questions, take corrective actions or adjust greenhouse control technology. This will lead to more optimal planting conditions, energy savings and emission reductions.
In this way, knowledge about climate control will be built up in co-creation with the companies in the field.
In addition, KlimOp will support and coach the heated glasshouse horticulture sector to a next knowledge step in the direction of 'Smart Farming' by introducing them in practice to the possibilities of AI techniques, with or without additional plant measurements. This is done by implementing AI techniques (ranging from simple decision trees to reinforcement
learning) at farm level and generating practically useful insights for the sector.
