Project description

Vegetarianism has been associated with improved health. However, information about muscle-specific nitrogenous substances (creatine, carnosine, carnitine), which are important for skeletal muscle function, is scarce. This project aims to longitudinally investigate how these deficiencies and their biochemical consequences develop and whether nutritional supplementation is feasible and effective in healthy humans.
