Project description

A collection of rhizospheric and endospheric bacteria, coming from an existing collection and isolated from Flemish soils, will be screened for positive effects on maize growth under low temperature conditions or in the presence of Rhizoctonia solani. The best-performing strains will be used in further studies to get a molecucular and functional characterization of the interaction between plant and bacteria.
