Project description

BIOREF-INTEG will develop advanced biorefinery schemes to be integrated into existing industrial complexes of several biomass processing sectors such as sugar/starch (bio-ethanol), biodiesel, pulp and paper, conventional oil refineries, power production, food industry and the agrosector. The aim is to enable these industrial complexes to produce their main conventional products with increased market competitiveness by coproducing added-value bio-products (materials, chemicals, power, and/or heat).
