The prospect goal of this ConcepTT project is the further development of an antimicrobial active packaging technology, designed to extend the shelf-life of perishable food products. The team of this project has already developed a first proof-of-concept regarding the technology’s functionality on preserving fresh fruits. This project aims at fine-tuning the technology, demonstrating its applicability for broader food categories, and gather extra data required to protect the IP through a patent. A market study will also be carried out.
