Project description

Lake Tana is situated on the basaltic plateau of the North-Western Ethiopian highlands. The interaction of lake and groundwater has until now been neglected, but it can be studied by using 222radon. Sampling and in-situ radon measurements will be done in the lake, groundwater, and spring water. After sample analyses, a conceptual model will be developed on the lake-groundwater interaction.
