Project description

The first objective is to establish a practice model that hygrothermal and mechanical behavior of a floor can predict in real situations. This is done primarily for cementitious screed and ceramic tiles as finishing. Towards the end of the Project to the practice model will be extended to other coatings that are also applied to cement screeds. Finally, some additional capabilities of the advanced practice model, for example. Material optimization and innovation, the use of the model in the drafting of standards, technical briefings, ... evaluated. It is necessary that the practical model contains the following elements: the mechanical properties (time-dependent development of the pressure, buit-, tensile, shear strength, and the stiffness development of the used material), physical properties (density's, thermal expansion coefficient, water absorption, and properties related to transport moisture as possible), time-dependent material behavior (shrinkage and / or swelling, creep and relaxation), and the behavior of the interfaces. The second is direct interaction with companies from the target group, enezijds to identify everyday practice in a survey round and on the other in the most concrete way possible to acquire knowledge and exchange through analysis of test floors or damage. Based on interviews and surveys the current practice will be mapped and analyzed. It also inquired about the working methods of the companies, the techniques they use to control the quality of their work, about the criteria they use to decide whether or not to decide to implement another layer of the floor, etc. . is also sounded the "needs and wants" of the various companies with a view to targeted exploitation of the project results. In second place, started the exchange of knowledge between researchers and companies on the basis of practical examples. There will be taking some common claims are studied. It will attempt to provide an explanation for the occurrence of the damage and there will also be a solution proposed to prevent the damage where possible. Where necessary, the good and bad situation next to each other using test floor particles are demonstrated in practice. The third objective is to establish guidance for the implementation of screeds and their finishes in practice. Simulations with the practice model and analysis of the test floor and damage the influence of many factors predicted performance on the floor behavior and critical situations can be identified. The fourth objective is the translation of the guidelines into practical documents for designers and implementers (execution protocol proposal specifications text, installation instructions, ...). The fifth objective is the dissemination of the documents drawn up for different target groups through customized training, seminars and continuing education courses.
