Project description
Mutualistic root endosymbionts such as AMF and rhizobia offer a sustainable way to reduce chemical fertilization in agriculture. However, the outcome of these symbioses is highly variable and an understanding of the nutrient transfer is of utmost importance to tackle this problem. We aim to identify and characterize key players in the nutrient exchange using snRNA-seq and spatial omics.
