Project description

In this project we will investigate the corrosion, scratch and abrasion resistance of hybrid coatings on coloured and uncoloured DX54D steel plates which are used as automotive body panels. We will work on nanocomposite coatings which are based on a silica network as they tend to have a low penetrability to corrosive agents and hence result in good barrier properties.
