Project description
This research investigates the mediation of urban conditions in architecture(-related) exhibitions produced around the 1990s in Europe with a focus on case studies from deSingel’s architecture programme. It examines how urban concerns, local developments, disciplinary debates, and institutional shifts in spatial governance stimulated new curatorial approaches and display formats as means to promote a public agenda for architecture in Flanders.
