Project description

Antibiotics usage in aquaculture is banned due to human health concerns. In this study, heat shock protein (Hsp70) and their inducers will be explored as strategy to fight diseases. Specifically, we aim at determining the active epitope of Hsp70, test its immunogenicity and protective efficacy in Artemia. Next, it will determine the protective effects of the Hsp-inducers in Vibrio-challenged Artemia.
