Project description

This research departs from the fact that marine fishery resources need to be protected for ecological and economic reasons. In the past China mainly focused on the benefits of economic exploitation without taking into account the full ecological effects. The EC stimulates a sustainable fisheries management through EC-legislation by conservation measures, technical supporting measures, compliance measures (e.g. inspections), …. The question needs to be answered if and under what conditions this EC model can be applied in China.
