Project description

Adolescence is marked by both risk for maladjustment and opportunities for psychosocial growth. To better understand adolescents’ pro-active role in their own psychosocial growth, this project addresses a novel strategy, called need crafting (i.e., the capacity to actively seek need-satisfying activities). A series of longitudinal, diary, and intervention-based studies will examine the role of need crafting in adolescents’ adjustment.
