Project description

In this project, a new type of "stacked" solid-like shell elements is developed. By imposing the continuity of interlaminar stresses and the larger aspect ratios than with volumic elements, the damage initiation and propagation in large composite structures shall be simulated in a more efficient and accurate manner.
