Project description
Valuable fatty acids, such as caproic acid, can be made from effluents of e.g. bioethanol refineries. Professor Angenent, Cornell University, is an expert in the production of these kinds of
compounds from complex biomass streams and will work with researchers at UGent to develop such a
pipeline.
