Project description

This project focuses on the literary and cultural historical analysis of Nietzsche’s concept of the Renaissance. It discusses Nietzsche’s “Renaissancism” in the light of the 19C “myth of the Renaissance”, the ways in which Nietzsche adapts his concept of the Renaissance to his project of transcultural interaction and portrays it as a paradigm for a future, non-national European culture.
