Project description

this proposal focuses on temperature extremes as a stress factor which together with short-term (daily/weekly) temperature fluctuations may affect benthic community structure and functioning. specifically we aim to study the response of marine nematodes to such temerature-stress conditions and short-term variations at the levels of individuals, populations and communities, including species interactions whitin and across trophic levels.
