Project description

Shortage on water provision, poor water sanitation, and the resulting waterborne diseases is a latent problem in rural areas in Ecuador. The present proposal aims to develop a decentralized water technology that fulfills the needs of water sanitation, and by complementary application of in-situ produced disinfectant, partially provide safe water. We aim for H2O2 and chlorine production in electrochemical systems for disinfection.
