Project description

Recent research has provided solid ground to the concept that limiting calorie intake slows down brain aging and protects from age-related neurodegenerative diseases. The goal of this project is to study the link between caloric restriction and the choroid plexus epithelial (CPE) cells that form the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier (BCSFB), both in healthy conditions and in the age-related disease Alzheimer’s.
