The Kortrijk detention house is the first detention house to open its doors in Belgium. The assistance and services to detainees and the judiciary want to put their shoulders together under this new concept. We want to do this from the start, with the needs of the target group as a pointer. With this project we want to investigate and experiment how the HDG network can best be organized in the Kortrijk detention center in order to realize a meaningful range of assistance and services tailored to the needs of the residents in the context of reintegration into society. The Flemish Agency for Justice and Enforcement will collaborate with all relevant stakeholders on this project.
