Project description

This PhD proposal proposes implementing macrocyclic lactone treatment in cattle in rural Ethiopia as a malaria control tool, and thus decrease malaria-carrying mosquitoes indoors and outdoors, reduce human exposure to mosquito bites and parasites, and ultimately lower malaria incidence. In addition, in One Health approach the intervention significantly reduces the helminth infections and tick infestations and maintains animal health.
