For countries like Ethiopia, having one of the highest maternal mortality, efforts to achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals require innovative strategies and learning from other countries’ experiences. In this proposal, we aimed to generate lessons for reducing maternal mortality in Ethiopia through conducting a review of maternal mortality and morbidity from Ethiopian and international experts’ perspectives.
