Project description

The knowledge of the large and ecologically important family Russulaceae strongly increased recently. The traditionally accepted genera in this family (Lactarius and Russula) are not monophyletic in stead four major clades exist. This study will finalize the phylogenetic study of the Russulaceae with as ultimate goal the unraveling of the phylogeography of the group.
