Project description

Obesity in high-yielding dairy cows in the periparturient period increases the risk to suffer from a wide variety of inflammatory diseases in the early postpartum period. In this project we will examine the contribution of metabolic stress to this elevated disease risk by analysis of tissue samples of euthanized cows with a variable body condition.
