Project description
There is increasing evidence that Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxins contribute to chronic, persistent and difficult to treat airway inflammation. Using animal models, ex-vivo mucosal tissue and PBMC models, I plan to unravel the specific pathways at different levels, which finally lead to the severe airway inflammation.
