The pathways of two plant hormones, ethylene and auxins, will be investigated by a chemical genetics approach. The effects of candidate compounds will be confirmed and interactions with other hormones will be tested using specific reporter lines. This project will lead to the identification of new agonists or antagonists for ethylene and auxin, and is expected to yield novel insight into the cross-talk of these hormone pathways.
