Project description

In a previous project, a smart sok was developed that is capable to detect movement patterns related to autism in young children. This smart sock allows to screen children and -in case of deviations- a faster referral towards appropriate help. In this project, the function of the smart sock will be validated in a large group of children. Additionally, based on input from clinical practice, it will be explored how the use of the smart sock can be made as practical as possible for both caretakers and healthcare providers. Finally, it will be evaluated whether the smart sock can be used to provide feedback to its carrier when detecting specific movements.
