Project description
This is a research project that is carried out within the framework of the IRSES programme “GEOMECH”, a Marie-Curie action belonging to the 7th Framework Programme of the EU. The project covers a broad research domain, centered around the following topics: (1) geometrical structures in mechanics and classical field theory, (2) non-holonomic mechanics and geometrical control theory, (3) geometry of second-order differential equations and the calculus of variations, (4) geometrical integration techniques.
