Projectomschrijving

Door HIV-1 integratie in het gastheer DNA wordt een latent reservoir opgebouwd. Een mogelijke strategie om dit HIV-1 reservoir te vernietigen is de shock-and-kill strategie. Voor het shock gedeelte zijn er al competente moleculen beschreven maar een efficiënte kill strategie ontbreekt. Long non-coding RNAs gelinkt met apoptose zullen in dit project getarget worden om een specifiek killing mechanisme te verkrijgen.
